Dark Red Commercial Nanny She's such a deep dark red that about two more shades darker and she'd be black. She's got just a little gash of white on her left
side that widens out some under her belly. She's probably about a 4 year old. She's so good that we checked her ears to see if she had been registered at some time and somebody lost her papers or
screwed them up, but she's just one of the highest quality commercial nannies we've ever run across. She makes us think of what Witch would have looked like about 5 or 6 years ago. She raised
twin billy kids by Tex last winter that weighed 71 & 73 pounds at 90 days when we weaned them. We sold the two of them to Mike and Cris Stork over at Arlington,
NE to run in their commercial herd. We put her in with Easter Egg on June 1 and she looks to be carrying a half a dozen or so of his kids. They sure should be polky dots. The old saying applies here,
'You can't keep em all'. We truly hate to put a price tag on this one. We priced her at $450 and she's worth every nickel of it. If she's bred, her first billy kid will pay for her and her feed for a
year and the rest of them will be profit. You'll want to keep every nanny kid she has and breed them to a polky dot or solid colored billy.
Polky Dot Making Machine
Black is Beautiful and so is White and so is Red. If you want one to produce you Polky Dot kids out of most any kind of a billy goat, here's the best opportunity you'll
have for a long long time. She's mostly all Nubian, but from the looks of her ears, she might have an Alpine granddaddy or grandma someplace back in her family tree. She's probably about 4 years old,
been dehorned, (I think the dairy folk call it debudded) pretty gentle although she's not a 'stick her head in your hip pocket' pet. She could well be bred and you'll want to register and keep all her
nanny kids. You could drive a lot of miles and not find a better Polky Dot producing prospect. We priced her at $350 and like all the goats that come from Uphoffs she has been vaccinated with
Covexin 8, Super Poly Bac B Somnus, CL, Chlamydia and wormed with Cydectin. We even chewed her feet off just a little. They weren't bad, just needed a little TLC. Come a runnin you'll like her.
Mature Polky Dot Nanny She's probably about 5 or 6 years old, has a good solid mouth, mostly if not all Nubian ancestors, a big roomy, gentle nanny. She likes to be the boss hoss of the
remuda and does a pretty decent job of gaining the respect of the other nannies. She might have you a few kids in a month or so and they'll probably be Polky Dots. Don't know what she's bred to, but
it doesn't matter cause when you breed her to your solid black or solid red fullblood registered Boer billy, you're going to want to keep all her nanny kids and register them as 1/2 Boers. She's priced at
$250 and again we can probably put her with some of our other commercial nannies and make you a pretty attractive package of as many nannies as you want. She should work good for a first timer goat owner.
-----------------------
Black Commercial Nanny Not the biggest nanny in the world, might even have a short shot of pygmy in her. But she's as black as a coal miner's armpit and she should produce you Polky Dot kids out of your black or red
fullblood registered billy goat and the nanny kids will be registerable as 1/2 Boers. A real economical way to get into the registered Boer goat business and add a little color at the same time.
She's kind of a spook, never been around folks much but she'll take good care of her babies when she has them and I'll bet you she has plenty of milk to make em grow
fast. We only priced her at $150 so you won't have to take out a second mortgage on the ranch to own her. Might even be able to put her into a nice package with some of the other commercial
nannies we have around here.
-----------------------
Commercial Fudge Son This is probably the second best billy kid on the place even though he's the youngest and only a commercial. He was born
May 21 and has a light red sister. His sire is Fudge and his mother is Uphoff's Emma who is a daughter of Ben out of a daughter of Hank. Emma had twin billys last year and one went to Wyoming
and the went to Larry Peterson at Imperial I think. This kid has one of the two best butts on the place and will sure improve the weaning weights of your commercial nannies. He weighed 61.6# when
we weaned, wormed and vaccinated him on August 13. (83 days of age). Being by Fudge, there's a pretty good chance he'll give you some colored kids if you've got some nannies with color
in their family tree to put him with. He's priced at $450.
-----------------------
A Keeper Fudge Son Every year it seems like we have one billy kid that just seems to reach out and grab you. Whenever you go out to the barn to feed
you always look for him first. He's the first one you want to run through the chute to see how much his weaning weight is and he's the last one you really want to see leave the place. Horatio is that billy kid for us this year. He
was born May 13, a twin. He's got a red and white paint sister that will probably die of old age here at the ranch. He is sired by Fudge and out of Coni Frederica, a nanny we got from Coni Ross. She's by
Coni Saber and out of a granddaughter of Bodacious. With our red Fudge for a daddy, we think there's a pretty good chance he'll produce color for you if you've got any at all in your nannies.
Horatio weighed 68.4# when we weaned and wormed and vaccinated him on August 13. It's fun to see him walk and see that muscle ripple down his hind leg. He's long and thick and has
all those good things that goat show judges talk about. We think he's good enough to go into a registered herd and be a bona fide herd sire. We like him a lot and we're sure you will too when you
see him. He's priced at $950 and we'd like to keep a couple of breedings to him per year as part of the deal.
-----------------------
The First Goodenberger Son This is the first Goodenberger son, born May 11, a twin. His mother is ConI Fannie a first timer Coni Ross nanny who is a daughter of Coni Saber. When this kid was born he made 10 Goodie
kids on the ground and 9 of them were nannies and we thought we were going to have a real nanny producer on our place. We ended up with 5 billy kids and 11 nannies, out of 7 nannies. We weaned,
wormed and vaccinated this kid on August 13 and he weighed 62.4# about the same as his sire at the same age. Goodie went on to place second in the 2007 CSU buck test with a ADG of .851#. I think
this young man, his name is Uphoff's Homer, should help someone's weaning weights considerably. Everyone that sees him comments on his good length, which we weren't able to capture
very well in this picture. He's priced at $550.
-----------------------
Black & White Commercial Nanny
This nanny doesn't have anything much going for her except that she is a black and white paint and weaning the heaviest nanny kid we're going to have this year. She's just a little old
commercial thing, probably a first timer, probably half or so Nubian and the rest Boer. We bred her to Fudge and she has a really soggy brown and white nanny kid (inset) named Holly Mae
after that famous goat trading lady in Texas. Holly Mae is long and packed with meat (the goat, not the lady) and colorful to boot. You can buy this nanny for $350 or put her in a package
of as many of the other commercial nannies we have standing around here, pick out a traditional or colored commercial or fullblood billy goat and you'll sure enough be in the meat goat
business for serious. OR, you could buy her nanny kid for $450 OR the whole famn damily for $700. If you're serious about putting quality and heavy weaning weights
into your color program, these gals will work. We could maybe even breed her back to Fudge later this fall for you if that would help. (Nanny kid is consigned to the 4S Goat Expo Sale)

A Polky Dot Easter Egg Son - SOLD!
 |
Lookey Here. First Easter Egg son to be offered for sale. He was born in mid February 2008, out of a traditional 7/16 Boer nanny. I think the rest of her family tree was Nubian. He weighed about
70# when he got his second round of shots and worming on July 29. He's a colorful guy and it isn't his fault he can't be registered. He'll produce you some nice colorful commercial or 4H kids. As you
can see in his pictures, he's got a right decent butt on him. He'd be ideal to turn in with a bunch of little first timer nannies. And, I'll tell you what, he'll get em all bred on the first go round. We
codjutated and contemplated about trying to find an appropriate name for him. Even called in our consultant and nutritionist and had a couple of staff meetings, even considered calling in the
preacher. We finally decided that the name 'Spot' would fit him best. You can rename him when you get him home if you want to. He'll only cost $250 and we could come up with a nice package of
little commercial nannies to go along with him that would sure enough put you in the meat goat business for serious without having to mortgage the farm and your first born. SOLD - Thanks to Derek Keller, Miltona, MN.
-----------------------
Camo 1 and Camo 2
All right, here they are. We finally got em weaned, weighed, vaccinated & wormed. We had originally planned to name them Herbie and Herkie but our daughter Carla was here from Julesburg
and thought they should be named Camo 1 and Camo 2 and it kinda stuck with them. They were born April 27, sired by Elmer Fudge and out of Polky Dot One below, which makes them about
3/4 Boer and 1/4 Nubian. They outgrew the creep feeder about a month ago and we haven't been feeding Polky any grain for a couple of months, so it's kinda like they're coming directly out of
the pasture. Camo 1, the pink and white one, weighed 67.2 lbs and Camo 2, the gray one, weighed 69.4 lbs on July 29, (93 days of age). I wish they would have weighed another 5 or 6 pounds so
I could ask you a couple hundred more for them. So, here's the best opportunity you've had in a good while if you want to add some color to your commercial operation or produce some 4H
goats that the judges sure enough won't have any trouble locating in the big classes. Buy em today and put em in your front pasture tonight for $650 each. If you can't decide which one you
like the best, buy em both for $1200. We weighed em both when we gave em their booster shots and worming on August 13. Camo 1 weighed 78# a gain of 10.8# in 15 days or .72 ADG and
Camo 2 weighed 80.4#, a gain of 11# or .73 ADG. They're getting about a pound each per day of the NSI Boer Goat Grower and running to a big bale of first cutting stemmy alfalfa.
-----------------------
Polky Dot One
Polky Dot One produced Camo 1 and Camo 2 above. She's probably maybe possibly perhaps 1/2 Boer and 1/2 Nubian. These were her first kids and we think she outdid herself. She weaned
136.6 lbs of kids worth $1300. Quite a feat even for a fullblood registered nanny and she's just a commercial. If you buy her and breed her to your registered Fullblood Red or Black billy goat,
you'll be the talk of the county with what she produces for you. She's priced at $450, only about a third of what her kids will be worth and if they're nannies you can register them as 1/2 Boers.
-----------------------
Easter Egg
We've decided to sell Easter Egg. He is a sure enough Polka Dot sire. He was born January 11, 2006, a quadruplet. He's sired by Sonora Redneck and out of a Black Headed 1/2 Nubian daughter
of Hank. He is 3/4 Boer and 1/4 Nubian so he is not registerable. He has produced about 60% colored kids out of a few colored and mostly traditional nannies. He has a good disposition and will
start telling you it's feeding time when he sees you leave the house (even if you just got done feeding him). If you look beyond his wild color you'll see a pretty fine meat goat, so if you want to
produce some wild colored 4H wethers or just want to add some color to your commercial breeding program, you could do a whole lot worse than taking him home. He's priced at $850 and he's
another one of those Uphoff goats that you'll sure enough want to put out in the front pasture when you get him home. He weighed 215# on July 29 when we wormed him and boostered his shots.
-----------------------
Edna's Billy Kids
Couple of right decent commercial billy goats. They were born May 5, 2008 and when we weaned, wormed, and vaccinated them on July 29 (85 days) the paint No. 79 weighed 60.8lbs and the
traditional, No. 78 weighed 55lbs. They're sired by Fudge and out of Uphoff's Edna who is a daughter of Sonora Redneck out of an own daughter of our famous old Hank. Edna is a 50/50 red and
white paint. Their maternal half sister is the 7/8 paint nanny listed below. Larry Peterson bought their maternal half brother, who has a big cape and a red front leg, at last year's 4S Goat
Expo sale. These guys have both got better than average butts on them. They should help increase your weaning weights. I think they will both produce color if your nannies have any color at all
in their pedigrees. Can't decide if the colored one is red and white or brown and white so we'll just call him 'The Paint.' 'The Paint' is priced at $450 and the traditional is priced at $350. Or if you
want to put some paternal half brothers and sisters into your commercial herd buy em both for $700 and then you'll know for sure that you got the right one. (Billy on left is Consigned to the 4S Goat Expo Sale)
-----------------------
Small Colorful Commercial Package
You'll really like these two dark red two year olds and this almosta paint nanny kid. The bigger red one weighs about 110 pounds, the smaller red one weighs about 80 pounds and the
almosta paint weighs about 100 pounds. She's going to be a big roomy, broody nanny when she gets done filling out. The two older nannies might be bred for early fall kids and I think the
smaller one is open. They're probably all 3/4 or 7/8 Boer but their former owner didn't keep up her paperwork on them. If you want to move them, they'll follow you into the house and clear upstairs
into the attic if you're carrying a feed bucket. You can buy the three of them for $375 if you want to add a little color to your commercial herd. Or if you breed them to your fullblood registered
billy, you can register their nanny kids as 1/2 Boers and get your registered herd started. OR You can combine them with the 5 yearling commercial nannies in the package below and own all 8 head for $875 less a $75
allowance for gas for a net cost of only $100 per head. Now, have you had a better offer than that today?
-----------------------
Uphoff's Fiona
This is Fiona, 3/4 registered with the IBGA an own daughter of Sonora Bullet and Triple D. She was born April 20, 2006. She had twins this winter and lost them to PPM. She very willingly adopted
the two kids from another nanny who was short of milk and raised them without a whimper. I think she'd take anything you want to put on her. And here's the clincher. She's polky dotted and she
ran with Easter Egg from June 1 to June 15. Wanta bargain? Since her kids won't be registerable she's priced at only $450 and one of her kids should pay for her plus a little for the banker and you'll
have her and the other one for profit and probably a loud set to show your neighbors. Had her shots and worming updated in late June so she's ready to go.
-----------------------
A Couple Of Keeper Nannies
Here are two nannies that we had planned to keep but got to looking at this year's crop and decided we've got a couple of current year nannies that we like just a tad bit better. They are
both fullbloods. The caped one is by Texas Warrior that we got from Coni Ross. Tex's sire is Coni Warrior who is now Ennobled. Her mama is Uphoff's Dalette who is by Sonora Sam and out of
Texas Bernadette. Her registered name is Uphoff's Grace. This nanny was born April 21, 2007 and she has a loud red and white paint sister. She could produce paints or reds for you out of the
right billy goat. The traditional nanny is a twin born March 31, 2008. She is also a daughter of Tex out of Texas Betty who is a black headed daughter of Jet Black Lignite, so this nanny has the
credentials to produce colored offspring also. These are a couple of the hardest to price nannies we've ever offered for sale. They're priced at $850 each or you can buy the pair for $1,500 and
of course as always we'll register them in your name as part of the deal. We think they might be a real advancement to your breeding program if you're serious about raising fast gaining
registered meat goats that you won't be ashamed to show folks when they come to visit.
-----------------------
Yearling Paint 7/8 Tex Nanny
She's sired by Texas Warrior and out of Uphoff's Edna who is by Redneck and out of a Hank nanny. Back on the bottom side of her pedigree, you'll find our
old original Red nanny who was 3/4 Boer and 1/3 Nubian although we didn't have any paperwork on her. She was born April 15, 2007, a twin. Larry & Bruce
Peterson are using her brother in their commercial operation. They bought him in the 4S sale last year. She's one of the smartest goats on the place and tends to get herself in trouble every now
and again. It wouldn't take much to make her a pet that wanted to keep her nose in your hip pocket. If you've got a red or paint billy that you want to make look spectacular, this gal, even
though she's only 7/8, could help you a bunch. She's priced at $450 or you can buy her in the package below quite a bit cheaper.
-----------------------
Keen Little Starter Herd
Here's a package of 7 yearling nannies that will make a dandy starter herd if you're wanting to get in to the meat goat business. They weigh from about 55 to about 93 pounds. They should be a
good size to breed this fall. They've been vaccinated with Covexin 8, Super Poly Bac B Somnus, CL. Chlamydia and wormed with Cydectin.
They are all yearlings consisting of:
- 1 traditional fullblood registered nanny,
- 1 red and white paint 7/8 registered nanny
- 5 black and red and white commercial nannies (probably about 3/4 Boer)
You can buy the whole deal for $1400 and if you want us to we can throw in a another couple of fullblood registered mature nannies for another $600.
Also, we can sell you a registered Great Pyrenees female pup or two for predator control. We have 3 female pups left that were born May 14 priced at $450 each, or, if you're buying goats from
us, they would be $400 each. See pups.
-----------------------
Nuther Percentage Tex Daughter
Here's another Tex daughter, this one is a 3/4 Boer. She was born November 17, 2007 and is a sister to billy goat #83 below. Her mother is a 5/8 Boer, 3/8 Nubian great granddaughter of
Hank that is registered as a 1/2. We like this nanny's mother a bunch. She is really feminine but with a lot of muscle. We think this nanny is going to end up the same way when she is mature.
We'll register her in her new owner's name as part of the deal and she is priced at $350 with a $100 discount if you buy her for a 4H project. Buy the pair of them, this one and the one above, and
you'll be well on your way to getting a serious meat goat herd started. We'd even work with you on getting them bred to one of our billy goats when you're ready.
-----------------------
Blackheaded Fullblood Bullet Daughter We bought a black headed nanny in Troy's sale in May 2006. She is a double bred
daughter/granddaughter of Jet Black Lignite. She had twin black headed nannies by Bullet on April 3, 2007. This is another one that is going to be hard to part with. If we were to make her better, we'd
put a little more daylight under her and make her an inch longer. It's pretty hard to build a perfect one, though isn't it? She oughta make you some spectacular babies out of your red or black billy
goat. It will be hard for you to part with them too. She is priced at $750, so come arunnin'!
