Thinking About the Goat Business?

For Sale
Hi Visitors!

If you do not find what you want on our
For Sale page or want a larger group of nannies than what you see here, please
e-mail or call us. We have several hundred quality registered and commercial, home raised nannies available from other breeders that we can recommend.

Johanna & Jodie
Born May 19, twins Johanna & Jodie are by Cayenne and out of Uphoff's Emma. Emma has consistently been one of our best commercial billy goat producers and the mother of such notable percentage nannies as Uphoff's Hillary. She did her self proud this time and left us a nice legacy in these two young ladies. Johanna weighed 10# at birth and Jodie weighed 9#. When we worked & tagged them on August 25, Johanna weighed 48.6# for a WDA of .50# & Jodie weighed 41# for a WDA of .41#. Sadly, Emma went to the big goat pen in the sky when they were about 2 months old. It set them back a little, but they've bounced back pretty good. It doesn't show very well in the picture, but Johanna has a little red on every foot. We priced them at $550 each or you can own the pair for $950. It wouldn't take much to make "check out your back pocket pets" out of them. We could package them up with 2 or 3 other commercial, percentage and or fullblood nannies into an attractive starter package for some youngster wanting to get started in the meat goat business.

-----  -----  -----

Jackie & Ja-a
Jackie and Ja-a (Ja Dash A) were born April 30, the triplet sisters of Jorge, by Dunroamin Cayenne and out of a crow black commercial nanny. When we worked & tagged them on July 28, Jackie weighed 44.6# for a WDA of .51#, tied for our third best WDA. Ja-a weighed 43.8# for a WDA of .50#, 5th best among the April nanny kids. Their mother weaned 133.6# of kids and weighed 134.6# herself, so she did her job for the year. These two young ladies will both register as 1/2 Boers and we'll furnish their new owner with the paperwork to do that. Jackie has a nice white spot on her right side and Ja-a has a brown spot about the size of a 50ยข piece on her left shoulder, so they'll be easy to tell apart. They've both got that gleaming crow black color that everyone who is in the colored Boer business strives for, and, they have better butts than most black goats that you see. A couple of really nice registerable nannies that will improve most anybody's herd. We priced them at $450 each or you can own the pair for $900. It really would be a shame to separate them after they've lived their whole life together.

JanisJanis
Wanna buy a show nanny? Here's your opportunity without paying what those wild Texicans will ask you for one. This is Janis, born April 29, sired by Dunroamin Cayenne and out of Uphoff's Haley, who is an own daughter of Sonora Bullet and out of Texas Bonnie who is an own daughter of Jet Black Lignite. How's that for a color pedigree? She weighed 7.5# at birth, a single and weighed 44# when we worked & tagged her on July 28, which makes her WDA .49#, 8th best of our 2010 nannies. She'll sure go on to make somebody a great mama goat whether you choose to show her or just put into the breeding herd right away. She walks around like she knows she's special and when she stops, she automatically sets up square on all fours. Color to burn and a world of quality to match it. If you don't want that combination in your outfit, then run away from this deal. We priced her at $750. When you buy her, put her out in the pasture by the road.

-----  -----  -----

Janice
Fullblood nanny born April 9. Sired by Dunroamin Cayenne and out of Uphoff's Irene, a red and white paint first timer who is a daughter of Texas Traveler out of Cherry (Witch). She's a twin to John - - John & Janice, imagine that. She weighed 5# when she was born and John weighed 7#. She weighed 48.6# when we worked & tagged her on July 28 for a WDA of .45#. This kid has a unique little mark on top of her head. It actually looks like a dapple spot and I wasn't able to get it to show in her pictures, so you'll just have to come look at her and judge for yourself whetheror not she'll throw Polky Dot kids out of your black or red or Polky Dot billy. I guess even if she doesn't produce color, you probably won't want to send her kids back will you? If she does it'll sure make him (and you) a hero. She's a nice level nanny with a good hip and good bone, but I don't think she's quite show quality so we only priced her at $650. If you had a whole pen like her, it wouldn't hurt your breeding program a whole lot.

-----  -----  -----

Jean
Jean is a twin born May 10, by Dunroamin Cayenne and out of Uphoff's Francis. Francis is a daughter of Sonora Bullet and her kids really explode for their new owners. Francis is registered as a 50% Boer although she is about 5/8 Boer and 3/8 Nubian. We sure like a goodly shot of Nubian in our production nannies. Our customers tell us it sure helps when they go to wean their kids.  We even put it into our commercial billy goats. Jean weighed 9# at birth and her brother Juan (below) weighed 11.5#. When we worked & tagged her on August 25, she weighed 45.8# for a WDA of .43#. Juan weighed 49.2# so Francis weaned 100.8# of kids this year and she weighs 121.8#. A little short of kid pounds, so we priced Jean at only $350. She'll work for most anybody at that price and when she's a mature nanny of 140# and has two big ole soggy kids trailing her in a couple of years, you'll know you got your money's worth and then some. She's even likely to produce you some loud colored kids if you've got a colored billy goat to put her with. If you don't, take a look at what we have to offer in either our sale or lease program. And, when you're through with any billy goat you purchase from us, you can bring him back and trade him in on a current year model.

-----  -----  -----

JuanJuan
Juan is a twin born on May 10. His sire is Cayenne and his mother is Uphoff's Francis, who is about 5/8 Boer and 3/8 Nubian and registered as a 50%. He weighed 11.5# at birth, and his traditional sister weighed 9#. He weighed 49.2# when we weaned, wormed, tagged & vaccinated him on August 26 for a .46# WDA. His mother is an own daughter of Sonora Bullet, so he has the credentials to raise you some fast gaining kids even if he did come up a little short himself. He'd be worth the gamble. He's got a nice long hip on him and a decent twist, just a nice kid with a lot of color. Just wish he was 10-12# heavier. We priced him at $350 for the bargain shoppers.

-----  -----  -----

JimboJimbo
Jimbo was born on May 4, a twin but he was raised a single. His sire is Cayenne and his mother is Texas Bonnie, a daughter of Jet Black Lignite. Bonnie is the dam of Goodenberger, Georgia, Halle & Haley. Jim has that unique (weird) black/red combination of color that we didn't do a very good job of capturing in this picture. He's black back to the end of his rib cage and then he's a really really dark red with some black scattered in it. We keep thinking that some morning we're going to go out and he'll be all black, but it hasn't happened yet. He weighed 9.5# when he was born and he weighed 62.6# when we worked & tagged him on August 26, for a WDA of .55#, the 8th best WDA of our billy kids. He's got that herd sire look about him. We priced him at $950 and if he stays around close enough we'd like to reserve a couple of breedings to him.

-----  -----  -----

JaredJared
Jared was born on May 2, a single and a fullblood, to a first timer nanny that we bought last fall from Peterson Boers. His sire is Cayenne and his dam is Gilberta. She's a daughter of Uphoff's Gilbert who was by Uphoff's Elmer Fudge and out of Cherry (Witch).  Gilbert is one of the top two or three sons of Fudge. This kid sure puts us in mind of Fudge at that age. He's got a little gash of white down real low on his right side. He's sore and stiff from getting his shots when we took this picture, so he looks a little peaked. His mother is a traditional, so you'll get a pretty good variety of colors when you breed him to your nannies, especially if they have any color in their family tree. He weighed 9# at birth, so he'd probably be border line as far as being a good sire to use on first timer nannies. He weighed 65.2# when we worked & tagged him on August 26 for a WDA of .57#, our 6th best WDA of all the billy kids. We priced him at $950 and if he stays close enough to us so that we can, we'd like to reserve a couple of breedings to him.

-----  -----  -----

Jeffrey
Jeffrey was born on May 26, a single. Sired by Cayenne, his mother is Uphoff's Francine, a daughter of Bullet. JeffreyShe's Mel's "most favoright" nanny. She's a litter mate to Francis and is about 5/8 Boer and 3/8 Nubian, so she's registered as a 50% Boer. He's a fast growing kid. He weighed 10.5# at birth, so he'd work really good if you've got a string of big ole dairy nannies or commercial meat goat nannies for him to improve for you. He weighed 61# when we worked & tagged him on August 26 for a WDA of .67#, our second best WDA. Fast early growth & heavy weaning weights is the trademark of this combination. The kids usually have a pretty long hip and good bone on them but sometimes lack a little in the width of their butt and the length of their twist, especially if you put them on your dairy nannies. We'd sure recommend that you keep every nanny out of Jeffrey and your dairy nannies and then come back and trade him in and select one of our production tested fullblood billies to breed them to. He's priced at $550.

-----  -----  -----

JessieJessie
This nanny kid is an absolute clone of Elvira that we sold to Carolyn Buckner out in the southwest corner of Wyoming. Elvira was by Redneck and out of Texas Bernadette. This nanny, Uphoff's Jessie is by Cayenne and out of a daughter of Fudge, Uphoff's Georgia. Georgia is out of Texas Bonnie who is a traditional daughter of Jet Black's Lignite. So, the only relationship of the two is through Sonora Redneck who is Fudge's sire. Anyway, all of that being said, here is one whale of a nanny, probably one of the top two or three we've ever had. She was born on April 21, a twin to Jethro below. She weighed 9# at birth and Jethro weighed 10#. She didn't get weighed and worked with the rest of the April kids in July so we finally got her done on August 26. She weighed in then at 64.4# for a WDA of .51#. We're probably dumber than a bucket of hair for offering to sell her, but like the old goat trader says, "You can't keep em all." If you've got a red or red and white paint billy goat that you need to make into a hero, here's the best opportunity you'll have for a good long while. She's priced at $950. You might want to give more when you see her.

-----  -----  -----

Jemima
Jemima was born on April 13, a triplet. She is by Cayenne and out of Uphoff's Darris. Darris is a blackheaded traditional daughter of Texas Traveler out of the big ole black nanny that we got from Devin Schinzel that we called Jemima. JemimaShe was 3/4 Nubian and the rest was a mixture of Boer and Spanish. So, Darris is registered as a 50% Boer although she has just a smidgen more than that of Boer blood. Now, I want you to sit and digest these numbers for just a minute. Jemima weighed 9.5# at birth, her brother Ja-Oreo (below) weighed 10# and her sister Jerrie weighed 9#. So, that's a total of 28.5# of birth weight that Darris delivered (by herself in the pasture without any assistance) Now at weaning time, Ja-Oreo weighed 63.2#, Jemima weighed 56# and Jerrie weighed 36.6# for a total weaning weight of 155.8# of kids that Darris weaned. She's thinner than a snake at weaning time and weighed 135.6 herself. She's what the production meat goat business is all about. Wish we had a hundred like her. Jemima's WDA was .55#, our second best WDA score. She's blacker than the inside of a black Angus cow except for a little white on her left front leg and a knee high sock on her right front and a little gash of white under her belly. There's no way we can price a nanny like this for what she is actually worth. Just think what her nanny kids will be worth to your breeding program in the years to come and the quality  of commercial herd sires she'll produce to help your cash flow. Bring $550 and come buy her.

-----  -----  -----

Jewel
Edna kinda screwed up this year. She has always had twins for us but slipped up and shelled out a single this time. She's nice though. JewelShe was born May 3 and weighed in at 10#. She weighed 57# when we worked and tagged her on August 26 for a WDA of .50#. She'd work in your show string except for the fold in her right ear. That won't hinder her any in producing some mighty fine red or red & white paint babies for you. Her cape runs back quite aways into her shoulder on the right side. She's sired by Cayenne and out of Uphoff's Edna so she has some pretty famous relatives since Edna is an own daughter of Sonora Redneck out of an own daughter of ole Hank. Jewel is a maternal half sister to a red legged buck we sold to Petersons a couple of years ago. She's also a maternal half sister to the brown and white paint billy we sold to Mike & Roxanne Fey in South Dakota and a maternal half sister to the billy goat we sold to Eugene & Wendy McClellan down in southeast Nebraska this year. Chane and Michelle Bidwell bought her red maternal half sister by Fudge last year. Edna is registered as a 75% Boer although she's probably about a purebred so this young lady will register as an 88%. We priced her at $550.

-----  -----  -----

Jupiter

Jupiter

Jupiter was  born April 27. He weighed 10# & his twin brother weighed 9#. Their sire is Dunroamin Cayenne and their mother is Uphoff's Halle who is an own daughter of Sonora Bullet. Halle's mother is Texas Bonnie by Jet Black Lignite, so this kid has the credentials to produce you some wild colored kids if you have a little color is your nannies' pedigrees. Jupiter ranks in the top 3 for muscle and meat of our April kids. He weighed 62.2# when we weaned him on July 28 for a WDA of .68 which was our second highest WDA. The only one that beat him was Jasper who weighed 72.4# and had a WDA of .72. Jupiter is kinda on the showy side, he packs a lot of meat and muscle and sure has the look of a herd sire about him. He probably has the longest twist of all the billy goat kids. He is priced at $650.

-----  -----  -----

John
John is a twin born April 9. He's our first billy kid sired by Dunroamin Cayenne. His mother is Uphoff's Irene. She's a red & white paint daughter of Texas Traveler and Cherry (Witch). John weighed 7# at birth and his traditional sister, Janice, weighed 5#. This kid really reminds us of Elvis that we sold to Jay Pfaltzgraff over in Iowa. Same good color, same long muscle, same width and depth although he is no relation. (except through Adam & Eve). He weighed 55.6# when we weaned him on July 28. His sister weighed 48.6#, so Irene weaned 104.2# and kids and she weighs 102# herself. This kid has a lot of color behind him, so he should kick you out some wild colored kids if you breed him to some nannies with a little color in their family tree. With that 7# BW he should also work well for first timer nannies. We priced him at $550. He has been running in the pasture with the rest of the billy goats since we weaned him and is getting about 1# of commercial feed per day.

-----  -----  -----

Jake
A black Boer Billy goat with a butt. How many of them have you seen in your young innocent life? Jake was born April 12, a single, weighing 8#. His sire is Dunroamin Cayenne and his mama is Uphoff's Heather. Heather is a black and white paint first timer by Fudge and out of Miss League T57, a daughter of Aslan's Onyx. Heather is a full sister to Uphoff's Garfield. This kid really puts us in mind of Garfield except that he has a better attitude. He weighed 61.8# when we weaned him on July 28 for a WDA of .58#. His mother weighed 94.2#. He sure enough looks like a herd sire prospect to us. He was just starting to shed off his kid hair in this picture, but he looks like he's going to be an iridescent black when he gets done. We priced him at $950 and if he stays around close enough, we'd like to reserve a couple of breedings to him later on.

-----  -----  -----

Jethro
Meat Meat Meat. Jethro is a twin born April 21. He weighed 10# and his red sister Jessie weighed 9#. His sire is Dunroamin Cayenne and his mother is Uphoff's Georgia, a  red litter mate to Goodenberger. Georgia's sire is Fudge and her mother is Texas Bonnie, a daughter of Jet Black Lignite. His sister, Jessie, sure reminds us of Elvira that we sold to Carolyn Buckner out in Wyoming. This kid is our pick for best kid honors this year so far. We have a May youngster coming up that might possibly beat him. Jethro weighed 63.4# when we weaned him on July 28 for a WDA of .65#. His white gash on the left side is a little wider than the one on his right side. He lacks just an inch or two over his back of being a genuwine oreo. He might be good enough to show a little. We priced him at $950 and if he stays around close enough we'd like to reserve a couple of breedings to him.

-----  -----  -----

Ja-Oreo
Ja-Oreo is a triplet born April 16. His sire is Dunroamin Cayenne and his mother is Uphoff's Darris, a daughter of Texas Traveler and Jemima. Jemima was a crow black 3/4 Nubian nanny. Darris is a black headed traditional. Ja-Oreo weighed 10# at birth and his two sisters weighed 9.5# & 9#. When we weaned him on July 28, he weighed 63.2# for a WDA of .62#. His two sisters, Jemima and Jackie weighed 56# & 36.6#, so Darris weaned 155.8# of kids. She weighs 135.6#, so she sure did her job for us. If you're serious about producing heavy profitable kids at weaning and don't care about registration papers, this guy will make a great herd sire for you, with the added advantage of some wild color. He's a little over 3/4 Boer and the rest is Nubian with a tiny dash of Spanish back aways. This photo shows him from the right side. On the left side he's a big wide oreo. We priced him at $550. He's vaccinated with Cavalry 9, Super Poly Bac B Somnus and wormed with Ivomec Plus.

-----  -----  -----

Jorge
Sired by Dunroamin Cayenne, a triplet out of a black commercial nanny, he was born April 30. His mother is a crow black nanny that is probably a Boer/Spanish or a Boer/Nubian cross. She milks like a Nubian but looks more like she has some Spanish on some branch of her family tree. Jorge weighed 9# at birth, his two sisters weighed 9# & 7.5#. We weaned him July 28 and he weighed 44.8# for a WDA of .51#. His two sisters weighed 44.6 & 43.8 so their mother weaned 133.2# and she weighs 135.6# so we're happy with her efforts this year. Jorge is a gorgeous ink black with a little gash of white on his right side. Of course, we had to take his picture from the other side. You probably wouldn't want to turn him in with a whole big mob of nannies this year, but he'd work pretty good on a small bunch. He's priced at $350. We also have his all black half brother from last year that we sold and was traded back in available also for $350. His big brother is a proven sire.

-----  -----  -----

John II
Lousy picture of a pretty good billy goat. He's a fullblood born April 15, a twin with a BW of 7#. His weaning weight on July 28 was 57.8# for a WDA of .56#. His sire is Dunroamin Cayenne and his dam is Coni Fannie, a daughter of Coni Saber. He's got a red & white paint twin sister that the boss says, "ain't for sale". Doris calls her Wonder Woman although her registered name will be Uphoff's JoEllen. With that 7# birth weight he oughta work pretty good on some first timer nannies. He's priced at $550.

-----  -----  -----

Lyra
Boy of boy!!. When you get down to putting this quality of nanny on the For Sale page, you know you're cutting deep. We really planned on keeping this little gal since she is an own daughter of Uphoff's Garfield and there'll be no more of them. She's out of Uphoff's Gina who is an own daughter of Texas Warrior by the ennobled Coni Warrior. On the bottom side, Gina is out of a an own double bred daughter of Jet Black Lignite. She's registered in the IBGA. We sure wouldn't breed this nanny to a black billy unless you wanna see some black or black and white paint kids out in the kidding pen next spring. She was born December 25, 2009 (shoulda named her Noel, Tancy) a twin. She'll sure upgrade your fullblood breeding deal for a good many years to come. We priced her at $750. Don't think that's quite enough but we can live with it if you can. Come and get her and make sure you stand her out in the front pasture by the road where those nosy neighbors can get a real good look at her.

-----  -----  -----

Godiva
Godiva is a fullblood, born December 1, 2007, a single. She's by Sonora Bullet and out of Coni Fancy who was an own granddaughter of Coni Ross' ennobled Coni Warrior. Godiva had twins last year and this so that kinda blows that deal in the creek about only keeping Godivatwins and triplets in the breeding herd. She is the longest goat on the ranch and an easy keeper and a good mother. She has twin almosta paint billy kids by Cayenne this year. We hate to have these Bullet daughters escape but we've got some Cayenne daughters we want to keep this year and when you get over 70 goats on our little 11.5 acre ranch, it kinda taxes the facilities. So, here's your golden opportunity to upgrade your nanny herd and not have to take out a second mortgage on your ranch to do it. We priced her at $550 and she's sure enough one you want out there in the front pasture by the road.

-----  -----  -----

Little Fi
She was born November 22, 2009. Her sire is Uphoff's Easter Egg a black Polky Dot. Little FiHer mother is Uphoff's Fiona a traditional with spots in her red. Fiona died when Little Fi was only 5 weeks old, but fortunately she was eating creep feed good by then, so it only slowed her a little. Easter Egg was 3/4 Boer and 1/4 Nubian as was Fiona, so Little Fi is also. She has really come on this spring. She is long and wide and deep and has a butt a Las Vegas show girl would die for. She wasn't quite slicked off when we took this picture, but she's shiny enough for you to see what she's going to look like later this summer. She's a sister to the Heather nanny we sold Patti Collins up in northern Nebraska last year. If you have a deep red or black billy that you want to impress your neighbors with, buy this nanny and breed her to him this fall. You'll probably have to stop by Wallyworld and buy several sets of their darkest sunglasses to loan folks when they come to see the offspring. We priced her at $550 so you won't have to get a second mortgage on the ranch if you want her standing in your front pasture.

-----  -----  -----

Polky Dots Galore

Polky Dots Galore
Here's a couple of Cayenne nanny babies that will blow your sunglasses off . They are Fancy and they are Loud Colored. We really believe they would do OK in the show ring if that's the direction you choose to take them. One thing about it, the judge won't confuse them with some other goats in the ring. They were born on January 2, 2010. Their mother is a red & white Polky Dot commercial nanny that is probably 3/4 Boer & 1/4 Nubian or Spanish. Her name is Jo Jo and she has been gimpy on her right hind leg ever since we obtained her. She produced our heaviest buck kid last year.  He was a Fudge son and we called him Ridgeback cause the hair stood up along his back bone. He weighed in at 74.2# at 105 days of age. We sold him to Chane & Michelle Bidwell in the NRBT sale at Imperial last fall. These two will register as 1/2 Boers and we'll send along the paperwork to their new owners to get that done. They've been vaccinated & wormed twice with Cavalry 9, CL, Chlamydia and Super Poly Bac B Somnus and wormed with Cydectin. We'd recommend that you breed them to a  solid black or a solid red buck. Their kids from that cross should pay for them several times over and you'll have enough left over to buy your wife a new handle for her pitchfork. We priced them at $550 each or you can own the pair for $950.

The First Cayenne BabyThe First Cayenne Baby
She's a single, born March 6, by our new herd sire Dunroamin Cayenne and out of Miss League T57, the mother of Uphoff's Garfield. She's a black and white oreo and she is FANCY. She's the first kid that people see when they come to look at the kids and last one they remember when they leave.  She weighed 10.5# when she was born and 59.8# when we vaccinated, wormed & tagged her on June 4 at the age of 90 days. It's hard to part with one like this. We priced her at $1500, so if you want to really really upgrade your breeding operation, adding color and quality all in one nanny, here's your opportunity. She'll make your billy goat into a hero.

-----  -----  -----

Big Ole Good Ole Percentage GalBig Ole Good Ole Percentage Gal
AHB Mzuri is a registered 1/2 Boer nanny born February 15, 2004. Her sire is Donald Johnston's JWR LR7 who was by MZ Haraka who was by Nzuri who was by Mzuri. Her mother was a commercial 1/2 Boer, 1/2 Nubian nanny. Mzuri is one of the three biggest and one of the two best nannies on our ranch. She weighed 185# on June 4 when we weaned her billy kid off of her that was born March 5. He weighed 57.4# at 91 days of age. Her paperwork is all in order. She's ready to go to your house and make your billy goat a hero. We priced her at $450. We can do better than that if we include her in a package of other commercial, percentage and/or fullblood nannies that we have available.

Bargain Nannies

nanny nanny
Take a look at two commercial nanny kids that came out of our March OOPS kidding. They would both make good mamas in a commercial herd and aren't going to cost you an arm and a leg to own them.

#325 is a muckledy dun colored twin born March 3. Her mother is out old Nubian nanny we call Granny. She weighed 5# at birth and 35.4# when we vaccinated, wormed, weighed & tagged her at 93 days on June 4. Her mother weighed 116.8# on June 4 and produced 81# of babies.

#324 is a blackheaded twin born March 7. Her mother is black headed fullblood daughter of Black Sam & Uphoff's Countess Dracula, the mother of Fudge. She weighed 8# at birth and 39.4# at 89 days on June 4. Her mother weighed 91# on June 4 and produced 89.6# of babies.

Both of these nannies kidded unassisted in the pasture. These gals were vaccinated with Cavalry 9, CL, Chlamydia and Super Poly Bac B Somnus and wormed with Cydectin on June 4. They'll be ready to go after they get their second shots on June 18 or you can pick them up anytime and give them their boosters at your place. They'd sure make a nice little starter package for some youngster who doesn't have a lot of bucks for their initial investment. We priced them at $250 each or you can own the pair for $400.

We've probably got 10 or 15 head of these commercial nannies around that we could build into a nice economical starter package for you or your youngsters if that's the way you want to go. We'll be weaning our April registered kids by Cayenne in July.

Bargain Billies
Here are three billy kids, the result of our March OOPS kidding. They are all commercials since we don't know who their sire(s) is.

bargain billies

#89, is a red billy born March 3. His mother is our old Nubian nanny Granny. He's a maternal half brother to Ima Dude listed below. He's a twin and weighed 6# at birth and 45.6# at 93 days of age on June 4 when we weaned, wormed, tagged & vaccinated him.

#90 is light red and the heaviest of the three. His mother is AHB Mzuri a registered red 50% Boer nanny. He's a single born on March 5 weighing 12#, and weighed 57.4# at 91 days of age on June 4. We wouldn't recommend him for first timer nannies but he'd sure be good to use on some Spanish or Dairy nannies if you want to increase your weaning weights. We named him Tex when he was born cause he had a steer head with horns on his forehead.

#91 [SOLD] is a red and white Polky Dot, a twin born March 7 weighing 10#. He weighed 50.2# on June 4. His mother is a black headed fullblood daughter of Black Sam and out of Uphoff's Countess Dracula, the mother of Fudge. Like most Polky Dots he doesn't have a lot of weight but he sure is pretty. SOLD, Thanks to the John Loostrom Family, Maxwell, NE.

All of three of these nannies kidded unassisted in the pasture. You can have your choice of the three of these billies for $250 each or buy all 3 of them for $500. They'll all work good in a commercial operation. They were vaccinated with Cavalry 9, CL, Chlamydia and Super Poly Bac B Somnus and wormed with Cydectin on June 4. They'll be ready for their booster shots/worming on June 18 and be ready to go to your house. Or, you can pick them up anytime and give them their second shots at your place.

Pamisaten
Pam was born March 20, 2007, a twin. She is sired by Namontack, a fullblood registered traditional buck whose sire was Tool Time and whose dam was a daughter of Sir Edmond. Her mother was a big black Nubian/Boer/Spanish nanny, so Pam is registered as a 1/2 Boer. She is the mother of the high indexing buck in the 2009 NRBT. PamisatenHe had the biggest REA of all the bucks in the test, many of who were quite a bit older than him. He was "Harry" and was sired by Uphoff's Easter Egg. On November 27, 2009, she had this black/brown headed nanny who is a full sister to that buck. She is one of the fastest growing, fanciest, nanny kids we've ever had on the ranch. If she were registerable, she would definitely be show material. Here's a mother/daughter package for someone who wants to get into the production meat goat business in a real serious way. We priced this family at $750 OR you can buy this package and Painted Lady and her red nanny kid below. That nanny kid was born April 25 and is sired by Harry . You can buy the whole package of 4 nannies all for just $950. What a nice package to get you into the Boer Meat Goat business. You could drive from Mullen, Nebraska to Milliken, Colorado and not find a nicer set of starter nannies than these. And if you need a billy goat to breed this package to later on, we can provide you with either a fullblood registered or commercial sire. We will either sell him to you or lease him to you. What a cross these gals will make on a Cayenne son!!

Coni Fannie

Coni Fannie Coni Fannie family
If you're wanting to upgrade your herd and add some fullbloods, here's the best opportunity you'll have all year. Coni Fannie came directly from the Coni Ross Ranch in Blanco, Texas. She was born May 19, 2006, a twin. She is sired by Coni Saber and out of a daughter of Coni N110, production meat goats at their finest. Her family is a traditional billy and a red and white paint nanny born April 15, sired by our red herd sire Dunroamin Cayenne. The boss says the nanny "ain't for sale", but you can buy the mother when we wean the kids July 28. We've got about 10 or 15 of these nannies we're going to sell from commercials up to fullbloods including 3 fullblood Coni Ross nannies, so you can put together a dandy package if that's the direction you want to go. We priced this gal at $650. She'll be thin as a snake after feeding her two babies this summer, but she's the right kind to raise you some top notch breedings stock.

The Last Double Bred RedneckThe Last Double Bred Redneck
This guy was born on May 5, 2008. He weighed 55# at 85 days of age. He's a full brother to the brown and white billy we sold to Mike & Roxanne Fey from South Dakota in the 2008 4S Goat Expo sale. Both his brother & sister in 2009 were red. Winston Corfield bought the billy and Chane & Michelle Bidwell bought his sister. We had him consigned to the Nebraska Range Buck Test Sale in October 2009 but he broke with sore mouth the day before the sale so we had to bring him home. He's got a lot of meat on him. Good length, good depth, good width and real heavy bone. Only place we'd fault him is in his butt. It could stand to be a tad wider. He weighed 128.2# on October 17, 2009 and had a 2.08 Rib Eye Area. His sire is Fudge who was red and his mother is Uphoff's Edna who is a red and white paint, so he'll probably kick you out some pretty wild colored kids if your nannies have a little color in them. Edna is registered as a 3/4 although she is probably about 15/16, so he sells as a commercial. She's out of an own daughter of Hank. We leased this billy out early last fall to a 4H family up in Northwest Nebraska, so he knows how to breed nannies. He's sure not a pet, but he'll follow you anyplace you want to take him if you're carrying a feed bucket.
SOLD, Thanks to Eugene & Wendy McClellan, Liberty, NE.

Handsome Black Hombre
Of all the great kids that black hombreUphoff's Elmer Fudge produced for us in his short lifetime, two billy goats stand head and shoulders above the rest, Uphoff's Garfield and Uphoff's Goodenberger. This black commercial kid ranks right up there with those two. His only shortcoming is his lack of a set of registration papers. His mother is a big, pretty black and white paint commercial nanny (below) that we bought out of a dispersal sale a year ago last fall. We sold her to Dave & Angie Culver at Orleans, Nebraska in a package with some other nannies bred to Fudge in February. We got the opportunity to buy this kid out of the resulting kid crop and we jumped at the chance. He was born in late May, a twin. He weighed 105# when we bought him on January 16, which gives him a WDA of about .44#. He's got everything going for him that you ask for in a commercial herdsire, length, width, depth, and a hind leg surpassed only by his paternal half brother Garfield. When he sheds off next spring, he'll be an almost iridescent black with red highlights. He also has a little roan spot on his right shoulder. Maybe he'll produce some Polky Dots for you. Now, all you've gotta decide is how important those breed association papers are to your breeding program. How many goats do you sell each year that are good enough to survive the politics of the show crowd? Or are you more interested in kids with some extra color that will mash the scales down at weaning time? If you want to preserve his pedigree, you can register him in the Colored Meat Goat Registry. You can get details on their website. We priced him at $550 and that's the highest we've ever priced a commercial billy goat. That's how much we think of him. We'd like to breed a couple of nannies to him next fall if he stays close enough so that we can. When you see him, we think you'll agree that he's well worth the money.

Black Hombre has been entered in the Nebraska Range Buck Test at Enders, NE. He will be sold in the auction following the completion of the test in October.

Painted Lady
She's only a commercial, but boy is she nice. She's the kind you can build a whole meat goat herd around. Probably born about mid Painted LadyMarch and weighs in at about 60#. You could probably breed her late this fall if you'd feed her really good from now till then. Probably sired by a fullblood Boer billy and out Painted Ladyof a percentage Boer nanny, so she's probably at least 3/4 Boer although we have no documentation on her. She just has a white leg and a little gash of white on her left side but has a whole big splotch of white on her right side. You'll want to invite the neighbors over to take a look at her when you get her home. They'll likely try to swap you out of her. She's only priced at $350, so you won't have to mortgage your wife and first born to afford her.

Painted lady celebrated the birth of a dandy little red nanny baby on April 25. She is sired by the high indexing buck in the 2009 Nebraska Range buck test. A 100% increase in numbers but 0% increase in price. Bargain time at the Uphoffs.

Polky Dots Aplenty
Wish we had a whole pasture full like this one. He's a twin by Fudge and out of the old Nubian nanny we call Granny. Ima DudeHe was born April 6 and has a twin Polky Dot sister. He weighed 5# and his sister weighed 4#. He stuck out from the whole bunch of kids all spring and it's easy to see why. Then when we weaned and wormed and vaccinated them on July 21, he was the second heaviest kid, weighing in at 68.2#. Not too shabby for a 1/2 Boer, 1/2 Nubian. Boy, if you've got a bunch of Plain Jane nannies that you want to help color wise and weaning weight wise, you could do a whole lot worse than buying this guy. He was 105Ima Dude days old when we weaned him so his Weight Per Day of Age is .65#. His name is Ima Dude and his price tag is $450. Kinda hate to see him go.

As of September 10, Dude is getting a lot more black on his neck and head. He should be a sure enough color producer for you. You'll like the quality of his kids too.

Our Best 2009 Commercial Billy Kid
Uphoff's Emma had triplets on February 23 by Texas Traveler. She raised all three without any problems and they all stayed nice and even for size. Emma is 3/4 Boer, 1/4 Nubian, Sired by our old TAMU Ben goat that we sold to Mike and Chris Stork. She is white. Her dam was Uphoff's Charlotte who was an own daughter of HANK and out of a registered Nubian nanny. Emma has consistently weaned our best Billycommercial billies. I think this is the first time she has had any nanny kids for us. Her billy kid from this litter weighed 61.9# on May 23. His number is 86 and his price is $400. He's a little short on color, got a real light red  head and light red on both of his front legs but more important, plenty of width, plenty of length, plenty of depth and PLENTY of butt. He'll make you some nice soggy commercial babies. If you're tired of hauling those 35# weanlings to the sale barn, take a real serious look at this kid. He'll upgrade your bottom line considerably. He's ready to put in the pasture with your best commercial nannies the day you get him home. We've started calling him Ole Yeller because of his color. He's a people friendly goat. He enjoys being around folks. He's not pushy and he's not a pet, he just kinda hangs out with you when you're in the billy goat pen. Just an easy going, well mannered young man. He's been vaccinated twice with Cavalry 9, Super Poly Bac B Somnus, CL and Chlamydia and wormed twice with Cydectin.

Polky Dot Making Machine
Black is Beautiful and so is White and so is Red. If you want one to produce you Polky Dot kids out of most any kind of a billy goat, here's the best opportunity you'll have for a long long time. She's mostly all Nubian, but from the looks of her ears, she might have an Alpine granddaddy or grandma someplace back in her family tree. She's probably about 4 years old, is polled  pretty gentle although she's not a 'stick her head in your hip pocket' pet. She's bullheaded and a hard keeper, so you'll want to feed her a little grain everyday. She raised the black "few spot Polky Dot" billy kid  and a traditional nanny with Polky Dots in her red head that we sold to Chane & Michelle Bidwell last year. You could drive a lot of miles and not find a better Polky Dot producing prospect. We priced her at $350 and like all the goats that come from Uphoffs she has been vaccinated with Cavalry 9, Super Poly Bac B Somnus, CL, Chlamydia and wormed with Cydectin. We even chewed her feet off just a little. They weren't bad, just needed a little TLC. Come a runnin you'll like her. Her first set of kids from your fullblood Boer or Kiko billy goat will pay for her and leave your wife a little to spend foolishly.  And, she was turned in with Cayenne our new red herd sire on Nov. 13.
